  • Overview

    Hanmi Bank is seeking a Senior Credit Administrator for our corporate headquarters located in Los Angeles, CA.

     

    The Senior Credit Administrator is responsible for portfolio review and/or maintenance, approval of credits per assigned lending authority, ongoing portfolio analysis with actionable recommendations, and credit oversight for the Company’s loan portfolio. Evaluate and communicate to management the credit worthiness of the Borrower.

    Responsibilities

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES

    • Approves and rejects CRE, SBA, C&I loans within lending authority and recommends approval of loans over lending authority.

    • Assumes leadership role in training lenders to develop skills in analyzing and booking high quality earning assets.

    • Identifies problem credits and coordinates efforts in ensuring delinquencies are controlled through sustained follow-up efforts.

    • Responsible for pre-discussion meeting with lenders on prospective loan transactions and credit worthiness of borrowers.

    • Validates the credit analysis and provides opinions and recommendations regarding proposed credit and potential risks.

    • Ensures solutions are thorough, and require analysis, interpretation and evaluation of financial statements, cash flow analysis, third party reporting, familiarity with various industries, collateral issues and values, loan structuring and guarantor personal financial statements and tax returns.

    • Consults with internal and external clients regarding credit management process/issues.

    • Structures the design review and approve loans based on the designated approval amount

    • Based on compliance or loan reviews and the dissemination of other pertinent facts evaluate and recommend policy changes

    • Prepares written analyses on all large loans, aggregate lending vs. indebtedness for individual borrowers, complex loans, and weak loans.

    • Examines files periodically for assurance of credit and collateral documentation, regulatory compliance, and loan policy conformance; review technical exemptions and deficiencies; maintain reports of continues outstanding exemptions to the Board of Directors.

    • Assists in training and mentoring lenders to develop skills in analyzing and booking high quality earning assets.

    • Assists the lending and risk management in the analysis, reporting, management, and monitoring of credit quality, credit risk, and performance of loans.

    • Works with divisional lending operations, to make improvements to processes and workflow related to credit analysis and loan quality.

    Qualifications

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

     

    • 7 years of related experience
